Lucknow, 9 May (HS): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has fielded its candidates in Deoria and Kushinagar Lok Sabha seats of the seventh phase of Uttar Pradesh. The names of the candidates were announced on Thursday.

Till two days ago, there were speculations that Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party President Swami Prasad Maurya would contest the Lok Sabha elections from BSP on Kushinagar Lok Sabha seat. Swami Prasad Maurya remained in constant touch with the General Secretary of BSP. Then due to some reasons things did not work out. Meanwhile, BSP made preparations to field Shubh Narayan Chauhan from Kushinagar.

BSP chief has also put her seal of approval. Shubh Narayan Chauhan from Kushinagar and Sandesh Yadav alias Mister from Deoria Lok Sabha seat has been declared candidates by BSP for the Lok Sabha elections. There was no preparation for Sandesh Yadav to contest the elections from Deoria Lok Sabha seat. As soon as the nomination process started, BSP decided to field Yadav, claimed sources.
