Ranchi, 07 May (HS): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Jharkhand Rural Development Minister and Congress leader Alamgir Alam's PS Sanjeev Lal and his servant Jahangir Alam late in the night. In the ED raid in Ranchi, cash worth ₹35.23 crore was recovered from Jahangir Alam's room. The ED will present both of them in the court on Tuesday and seekitheir remand. Today for the second day also, ED has raided the places of many people.

The Enforcement Directorate had started action at 4 am on Monday morning at the locations of Sanjeev Lal and many other people. This action continued till late night. During this period, ₹3 crore have been recovered from the house of builder Munna Singh, close to Sanjeev Lal.

ED teams together searched the government residence of minister's OSD Sanjeev Kumar Lal at Deendayal Nagar, flat at Sita Niketan on Kanke Road, residence at Harmu Road, flat of Sanjeev Lal's servant Jahangir Alam, flat of Munna Kumar Singh at PP Compound, The flat of Vikas Kumar, Assistant Engineer of Road Construction Department, at Sail City and the residence of Kuldeep Minj, Assistant Engineer of Road Construction Department, located at Bodaiya, were raided.

After recovery of the notes, ED officials interrogated Sanjeev Lal, Jahangir, Munna and others. Jahangir has confessed that Sanjeev Lal had kept the money here. Munna has admitted that the recovered amount was to be delivered to the flat located at Sir Syed Residency.
