Itanagar, 07 May (HS): Arunachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday has expelled 28 members from the party for rebelling against the party during the elections.

According to the BJP, the 28 leaders contested the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections from other parties and as independent candidates. All of them worked against the party, flouting party discipline.

They were expelled for a period of six years for contesting elections against the official candidates of the party. An official order issued today states that they will be expelled.
