Raebareli, 6 May (HS): Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will meet with party members in Rae Bareli district on Monday evening to support Rahul Gandhi's campaign.

Pankaj Tiwari, Rae Bareli district Congress spokesman, confirmed that a meeting of district party office bearers with Priyanka Gandhi had been scheduled at the Gandhi family's Bhoi Mou village house here. Rahul Gandhi will face up against Rae Bareli BJP leader Dinesh Pratap Singh.

Following her meeting with Congressmen in Rae Bareli, Priyanka Gandhi is due to meet with party members in the neighboring Amethi constituency, where the party has fielded Kishori Lal Sharma, a close aide to the Gandhi family.

According to party officials, Priyanka Gandhi is scheduled to stay in the district to supervise the campaign for her brother Rahul Gandhi, who is traversing the country to rally support for the party's nominees in the general election. Rae Bareli and Amethi will vote in the fifth phase of elections on May 20. Rahul Gandhi, who lost to union Minister Smriti Irani in Amethi in the previous Lok Sabha elections, has moved to his mother's Rae Bareli constituency this time.
