Lucknow, 6 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak expressed his dismay at the Mainpuri incident in which Samajwadi Party activists reportedly defiled the Maharana Pratap statue, saying that the Samajwadi Party has always insulted great leaders, and that this sort of chaos is in the SP's DNA.

What occurred in Mainpuri is unacceptable. The Samajwadi Party has consistently disrespected great men... This form of anarchy is in SP's DNA. Whenever they were in control, they incited riots in Uttar Pradesh. Today, the people of Uttar Pradesh live in peace, according to UP Chief Minister Pathak.

On Sunday, police filed a FIR against 100 Samajwadi Party activists for allegedly destroying the Maharana Pratap statue in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri.
