Vehicles vandalised outside Cong office in Amethi, party leaders blame BJP

Amethi, 6 May (HS): Some miscreants allegedly damaged over a dozen vehicles parked outside the Congress headquarters in the Gauriganj region of this city, the party stated on Monday. Congress district spokesperson Anil Singh accused the governing BJP of organizing the event on Sunday night, claiming that several persons inside the cars were injured.

Six individuals arrived in a car and destroyed the vehicles. Some persons were hurt and sent to the district hospital for treatment, Singh stated. The Congress leader stated that this is the outcome of the BJP's desperation, and that he will file a complaint with the Election Commission.

Congress district president Pradeep Singhal said that the event occurred because of the state police's negligence.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Anup Kumar Singh said the Congress district president reported a stone-throwing incident outside the party headquarters on Sunday night, which smashed the windows and windshields of some vehicles.

Upon receiving the information, several policemen were dispatched to the scene, and police forces were stationed in the neighborhood.

Saddam Hussain has filed a lawsuit alleging that one of his car's windows was shattered, resulting in injuries to his head, Singh said. A case has been filed in this regard with the relevant sections at the Gauriganj police station. The offenders are being identified using CCTV video and other methods, he said.
