Accused arrested with 50 kg beef in U'khand


Haridwar, 5 May (HS): Ganganahar police arrested an accused who was going to sell banned beef on a motorcycle. Police recovered 50 kg of beef from the accused.

According to the police, during night patrolling, Chetak constables of Ganganahar Kotwali police got information that a person was coming towards Padli Gurjar with banned beef on a motorcycle to sell it.

On receiving the information, Chetak constables took the accused into custody along with 50 kg of beef from the said place. During interrogation, the accused told that last night, Sarjul and Asif, residents of Chandanpur Bhagwanpur, had slaughtered a bull in the forest of Chandanpur village (Bhagwanpur police station). , from which he took Rs 100 per kg to sell 50 kg.

He was going to sell it at a higher price. The accused was identified as Naved, son of Jafir, resident of village Chandanpur, Bhagwanpur police station, Mangalore. The accused has been challaned.
