Imphal, May 02 (HS): In the first phase of deporting illegal infiltrators to Myanmar, 38 infiltrators from Manipur were on Thursday deported from India to Myanmar via Moreh. During this deportation ceremony, an Indian citizen was also brought back from Myanmar.

While the resources of Manipur are being exploited by illegal infiltrators, various types of drug smuggling and criminal activities ranging from cultivation of opium, ganja etc. are being carried out by the infiltrators. However, the Central Government is in the process of completely sealing the India-Myanmar border by installing fencing.
