Ruckus in Nepal's parliamentary session on second day

Kathmandu, 11 May (HS):- The opposition did not allow even the President’s address and raised the demand for Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane’s resignation. The demand is being raised as evidence of Lamichhane’s involvement in a cooperative loan scandal was submitted by an enquiry committee. The opposition members are also demanding the constitution of a Joint Parliamentary Committee to make an in-depth enquiry into the charges.

Saturday was the second day of the parliamentary session on which no item on the agenda could be transacted. Nepali Congress leader Sherbahadur Deuba addressed a meeting of the opposition party representatives to formulate a strategy to corner the government on the issue.
