Guwahati, 30 April (HS): Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police launched a special operation and arrested two smugglers with heroin in Guwahati on Tuesday. According to the information given by STF, based on a secret input, an operation was conducted on Tuesday in Saokuchi of Dakshingaon under Hathigaon police station area of the capital.

Two drug paddlers were caught in the operation. During the operation, 12.5 grams of suspected heroin, cash of Rs 30,200, two mobile phones and a Bajaj Pulsar (AS 15 U 9994) bike were recovered. The arrested persons have been identified as Babidul Haq (26) and Noor Mohammad (24).

Necessary formalities are being completed.
