Guwahati, 29 April (HS). A grand road show of union Home Minister Amit Shah was organized in Guwahati on Monday. To participate in this road show, Home Minister Shah landed at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Borjhar, Guwahati at 5 pm. After reaching Guwahati from there, he took part in the road show. The road show started from Cycle Factory Chariyali in Kalapahar, Guwahati at 6 pm. In this road show, union Home Minister Shah along with Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, State BJP President Bhabesh Kalita, BJP candidate from Guwahati Lok Sabha seat Bijuli Kalita Medhi and many senior BJP leaders participated. The Home Minister's convoy left for Lalganesh from the cycle factory. Lakhs of people were seen walking with this convoy and standing on both sides of the road. During the entire road show, a huge crowd of people gathered on top of the buildings located on both sides of the road. In view of this road show, preparations were made on a large scale by the Guwahati Police.

In view of the Home Minister's road show, normal traffic on this road and its surrounding roads was closed. Special rules were announced by the police for these roads from 12 noon to 9 pm.
