Hardoi, 28 April (HS): A 65-year-old father and his son were killed, and six family members were injured, when their car crashed with a tree in the Sawaijpur region of this Uttar Pradesh district, police reported on Sunday. According to authorities, Rahees Khan (65) and his son Shakib (45) died after their automobile lost control and struck with a tree.

Six additional family members who were injured in the accident were brought to the local community health clinic and then referred to the district hospital, according to reports.

Martand Prakash Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, said that the remains had been submitted for a post-mortem. The injured are receiving care, and the incident is being investigated, he added.
