Those who declined Ram temple invitations to be rejected by voters: Modi

Sirsi, 28 April (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Sunday that anybody who declined an offer to consecrate the Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be rejected by voters in the next Lok Sabha elections.

He appeared to be alluding to the Congress party's decision not to attend the ceremony. Modi stated that the choice to build the Ram temple should have been made on the very next day of the country's Independence.

He accused the Congress party of trying till the last minute to prevent the construction of the Ram temple and of approaching the court on the same day. The prime minister told a public gathering in this taluka headquarters town in Uttara Kannada district that the Congress and its clique had attempted for 70 years to prevent the construction of the Rama temple.

The trustees of the Ram temple rejected all objections raised by Congress and its supporters, going to their homes and inviting them to the consecration ceremony, which he described as a generous gesture on their side.

“They (Congress leaders) turned down the offer to inaugurate the Ram temple. The country would reject those who declined the Ram temple invitation,” according to Modi.

In a surprising development, the Ansari family, who had fought against the Ram temple for generations and wanted the Babri Masjid in the same location, accepted the invitation to attend the consecration ceremony. However, the Congress and its coterie declined the invitation from the Ram temple trustees.

Despite being Muslim, the Ansari family attended the temple's consecration and were present throughout. They later presented Ansari with a little wooden idol of Lord Ram. This is the difference, the prime minister stated.

In Ayodhya, people had to wait 500 years to witness the Lord Ram temple. Lakhs of people were slain, Modi said, adding that the choice to build the shrine should have been made the day after Independence. But they did not build the temple, he claimed, referring to the Congress. A chest measurement of 56 inches is required for such activities. Modi emphasized that the Ram temple was built with money donated by Lord Ram enthusiasts, not by the government or taxpayers.

Vote bank politics has turned nasty and destructive. They sought to the last minute to prevent the construction of the Ram temple. They went to court on the final day as well. He said that Congress and its supporters worked for 70 years to prevent the construction of the Ram temple. Seeking popular support for the BJP, Modi underlined that when there is a stable government with a majority, the entire globe depends on it.

He stated that India is now respected all throughout the world, and that whenever an Indian travels abroad, he or she does it with pride. “This was made possible by the power of voting. When I meet great leaders who are six or 6.5 feet tall and have fair complexion, it is not Modi who meets them alone; 140 crore people stand behind me. I approach them with boldness.

The prime minister noted that your vote gives him courage, he said.

He accused the Congress administration of ruining Karnataka. Congress promotes an antisocial and anti-national worldview. Recalling the murder of Hubballi student Neha Hiremath, who was stabbed to death on April 18 by Fayaz Khondunaik on the college campus in Dharwad, Modi stated that every parent is concerned about the safety of their daughters, all because of Congress' crimes.

“Where did the perpetrators get the nerve to kill ladies on a college campus? Because they understand that those seeking vote banks will save them. This gives them courage, the prime minister stated. He claimed that the Congress in Karnataka has become synonymous with a terrible law and order situation.

Modi informed the audience that bombings in various locations and an explosion inside a train in Mumbai were common news stories before 2014. Didn't such reports end after 2014? Terrorists detonated bombs in Bengaluru shortly after Congress arrived. He stated that an explosion occurred in a café in Bengaluru, a well-known city throughout the world.

The prime minister chastised certain Congress leaders for first claiming that the explosion was caused by a cooking gas cylinder rather than a bomb blast, and he questioned whether the cylinder or the leaders' heads burst.

Without mentioning Pakistan, Modi stated that there was a period when the neighbouring nation supplied terrorists to India, who fled after murdering our soldiers. Now, surgical strikes are taking place. This is new India, and it will kill (terrorists) inside their homes.
