Nepal and Qatar sign eight bilateral agreements


Kathmandu, 24 April (HS):- Nepal and Qatar signed eight bilateral agreements before Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani completed a two-day tour and returned on Wednesday. He signed the agreements with Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachand at Saulti Hotel.

Prachand invited investments in agriculture, industry, and tourism sectors and requested Thani to take care of thousands of Nepali workers in Qatar. He said that the agreements were based on mutual respect, cooperation and faith between the two countries.

The agreements are related to art and cultural exchange, national news agencies, education and research, youth affairs and sports etc. Both also agreed to cooperate in trade and establishing chambers of commerce in their countries.
