Mahoba, 23 April (HS): Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day of Chaitra month. The birth anniversary of Shri Ram devotee Hanuman is celebrated six days after Ram Navami. By worshiping Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, Mata Janaki and Ram devotee Hanuman with full devotion on this day, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.

It is believed that Hanuman ji was born on this day. Crowds of devotees started gathering in the temples since morning and religious rituals are going on.

Since morning, devotees have been reaching the temples of Ram devotee Hanuman ji and performing religious rituals, praying for the well-being of the family and society and wishing for the welfare of the world.

Pandit Vishnu Rat Chaturvedi (Videh Ji), resident of the district headquarters, tells that just by taking the name of Hanuman Ji Maharaj, fear can never spread in your life. Difficult tasks can be done easily just by remembering him. Hanuman ji likes banana, flour laddu, gram etc. as offering. By worshiping him, the devotees gets good fortune.

Religious rituals took place in most of the Hanuman temples in the district and Bhandara was organized by the devotees, where hundreds of devotees have reached and received the prasad. Today, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, both Chitra Nakshatra and Tuesday are being read together. The situation is exactly the same as it was at the time of appearance of Lord Hanuman. Devotees get manifold results by donating, praying and chanting rituals on the birth anniversary of Hanuman ji. Hanuman Ji Maharaj showers special blessings.
