Kolkata, 23 April(HS): union Home Minister Amit Shah had set a target for the West Bengal BJP leadership to win 35 seats from Bengal. The first phase of the election is already over. Amit Shah, during an election campaign in North Bengal on Tuesday, once again made it clear that the BJP is rigid on its target.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended a road show in support of Maldah South Lok Sabha BJP candidate Shrirupa Mitra Chowdhury. Speaking at the end of the road show there, Amit Shah said, ''You voting for lotus from Bengal means voting for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the BJP workers and supporters, he said that last time the BJP had to lose this seat by 5 thousand votes. This time BJP candidate Nirbhaya Didi (Srirupa Mitra Chowdhury) has to win with about 50 thousand leads.

Amit Shah also made critical statements against the state government in Bengal. Amit Shah gave a message that the only way to get rid of corruption from Bengal is to make the BJP victorious. Raising the issue of the CAA Amit Shah said, ''''Here Mamata Banerjee is blocking the citizenship of Hindus from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.''''

Amit Shah also complained that the politics of hooliganism and corruption are going on in Bengal. He complained, Corruption is going on in Bengal during Mamata Banerjee''s tenure. 50 crores, 75 crores in cash are recovered from the houses of state ministers. ₹10 to 15 lakh bribe have been taken in the name of giving jobs to poor boys and girls. Besides, Amit Shah also participated in a rally in support of BJP candidate Karthik Chandra Pal from Raiganj.
