Kuala Lumpur, 23 Apr (HS): Two Malaysian Navy helicopters crashed in the air during a rehearsal, killing all 10 crew members on board. The accident occurred on Tuesday at Lumut Naval base during a rehearsal for a military parade, around 9.30 am local time.

All victims were confirmed dead and the bodies were sent to the Military Hospital for identification. The Royal Malaysian Navy said the crew included three women. Investigation into the accident was in progress.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said in a post on ‘X’ that “the nation mourns the heart-wrenching and soul-wrenching tragedy. Condolence to all the families of the victims and prayers for strength and face this calamity”.
