Baghdad, 20 Apr (HS):- Rudaw Media Network reported that an explosion was heard in Babylon Governorate province in Iraq targeting a military base called Forward Operating Base Kalsu (FOB Kalsu). The place targeted is situated south of Baghdad.

Several areas of the Kalsu base are on fire following the blast, suspected to be due to an airstrike. FOB Kalsu serves as a military base utilised by Iraq’s Popular Mobilisation Forces.

According to local reports, several members of the Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) and Iraqi Security Forces were injured and are being treated at the Al-Mahawli General Hospital in the province. The explosion occurred at the headquarters of the PMF. Investigation in the incident has been started immediately after the incident.
