Guwahati, 20th April (HS). It has been decided to operate two pairs of special trains from Guwahati to meet the escalating demand of passengers during summer rush. NF Railway chief public relation officer Sabyasachi De informed today that One special train will operate between Guwahati and Sambalpur in Odisha & other will operate between Guwahati and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Jammu & Kashmir. Both these trains will operate for 10 trips each in both directions. Both the special trains will consist of AC 3-tier, Sleeper Class & General Seating coaches for the convenience of passengers.
Accordingly, train no. 08351 (Sambalpur – Guwahati) Special will depart from Sambalpur at 18:50 hours on every Monday from 22nd of April till 24th of June to reach Guwahati at 01:20 hours on Wednesday. In return direction, train no. 08352 (Guwahati – Sambalpur) Special will depart from Guwahati at 08:00 hours on every Wednesday from 24th of April till 26th of June,2024 to reach Sambalpur at 16:15 hours on the next day. During its both ways journey, the special train will run via Kamakhya, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar Jn., New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Bhattanagar, Kharagpur, Balasore, Kapilas Road, Angul, Kerejanga etc.
Also, train no. 04680 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Guwahati) Special will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 21:30 hours on every Friday from 26th of April till 28th of June to reach Guwahati at 19:10 hours on Sunday. In return direction, train no. 04679 (Guwahati – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra) Special will depart from Guwahati at 23:20 hours on every Monday from 29th of April till 01st of July to reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 20:45 hours on Wednesday. During its both ways journey, the special train will run via Kamakhya, Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Katihar, Barauni, Hajipur, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi etc.
Another special train no. 06221/06222 (Mysuru – Muzaffarpur - Mysuru) is being operated between Mysuru and Muzaffarpur for 08 trips each on every Monday from Mysuru and on every Thursday from Muzaffarpur (w.e.f 18th April). During its both way’s journey the train will have stoppages at Jolarpettai, Vijaywada Jn., Palasa, Malda Town, Kumedpur, Katihar, Barauni Jn. etc.
The details of stoppages and timings of these train are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
