Delhi, April 20 (HS):Congress has suffered another setback before the voting of Lok Sabha elections. Jalandhar (Punjab) senior Congress leader Tejinder Singh Bittu joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday. Earlier he resigned from the primary membership of Congress. Tejinder Singh Bittu has not only been the leader of Jalandhar but has also been the co-in-charge of Himachal Pradesh, from which post he resigned on April 20 (Saturday).

Tejinder Singh Bittu took membership of the party in the presence of union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, National General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Media co-in-charge Sanjay Mayukh at the BJP headquarters on Saturday. After joining BJP, Tejinder Singh Bittu said that after spending almost 35 years in the Congress party, he felt that the Congress party had deviated from the issues. He joined BJP for the betterment of Punjab.
