Farmer dies of electrocution in UP

Unnao, 20 April (HS): Due to the negligence of the electricity department, accidents are happening every day due to dangling wires. If we look at the figures in the last one week, hundreds of acres of wheat crop have been burnt to ashes due to spark falling from the high tension line. Meanwhile, a farmer who came to the field to harvest wheat on Saturday got hit by the electrical wires, due to which he died. There is anger among the villagers after the incident. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and started investigating the case. Dinesh Singh (65), a resident of village Munnukheda of Asiwan police station area, had come to harvest the wheat crop standing in the field in village Matlabpur. Meanwhile, the electric wire was already broken in the field itself and the supply was still on.

Dinesh died after getting electrocuted by the broken wire. When farmers harvesting wheat in the nearby fields saw this, they informed the electricity department about the incident and got the supply stopped. Cops from Fatehpur police station reached the spot and sent the body to the mortuary for post-mortem. After the death of the farmer, there was a lot of anger among the villagers against the officials of the electricity department.
