Suicide bombers attack foreign national's vehicle in Karachi


Karachi, 19 April (HS): Two terrorists were killed by the police, who attacked a vehicle carrying five foreign nationals (Japanese) on Friday. The bombers attacked the vehicle in Karachi, Geo News has reported.

All five foreigners travelling in the vehicle survived the attack. Reuters reported that terrorists are planning to overthrow the elected government and set up their Islamic rule.

The Japanese survivors in the Friday’s attack have been moved to a safe place under police custody. Police Spokesperson Abrar Hussian Baloch said none has claimed responsibility of the attack.

Karachi police confirmed that it was a suicide attack. Another vehicle was also damaged in the explosion, Geo News reported. Suicide jacket and grenades were tied to the terrorists’ bodies. The bomb disposal team reached the spot.

The foreign nationals were working in the export processing zone. Three injured, including a security guard and one passerby, were brought to Jinnah Hospital. Two of them are critical, Geo News reported. No foreign national was injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori condemned the attack and directed the CCPO and IG to report the issue to him.
