A former Pakistani cricketer turned politician Imran Khan was accused of retaining expensive gifts received during his tenure as the Prime Minister. Following the conviction in the Toshakhana case he was barred from holding a political position for five years. The ban was imposed by the Election Commission days before the general elections in Pakistan.
