Islamabad, 08 Feb (HS): At least five police personnel were killed in a terror attack during polling in Pakistan.

The terrorists attacked a mobile police van in Dera Ismail Khan District killing five police personnel and injuring two. The attackers used an improvised explosive device and then opened fire at the police van in the Kulachi area in Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The security for polling was increased as the violence began amid economic crisis, rising militant attacks, and strained relations with neighbouring countries.
