Rawalpindi, 10 Feb (HS):- The Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) granted bail to ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan and in 12 cases in connection with the May 9 riots. His close associate Shah Mahmud Qureshi was granted bail in 13 cases. The bail was granted after the election results were announced in Pakistan.

According to Geo News, ATC Judge Malik Ijaz Asif pronounced the judgement. Earlier Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmad was also granted bail by the court. PTI counsel Shiraj Ahmad Ranza argued for Khan and Qureshi. Several PTI workers were arrested in connection with riots on May 9 across the country.

The rioters had targeted Jinna House in Rawalpindi, General Headquarters, and other public offices and military bases during the riots.
