The Indian team is 307 runs away from the target.

Yashasvi and Rohit Sharma gave a steady start to the Indian team chasing the target of 340 runs and added 25 runs for the first wicket. However, on this score, Pat Cummins increased India's troubles by dismissing Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in the same over. Virat Kohli once again failed and became the victim of Mitchell Starc on a total score of 33 after scoring 5 runs. Lunch was announced as soon as Kohli was out.

Australia scored 234 runs in the second innings, set a target of 340 runs

Earlier today, Australia's second innings ended at 234 runs. The Australian team had scored 105 runs in the first innings, which increased its total lead to 339 runs and India got a target of 340.

In the second innings, Marnus Labuschagne scored 70 runs for Australia, playing a brilliant half-century innings. Apart from Labuschagne, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon scored 41-41 runs.

The highlight of the Australian innings was the partnership of 61 runs for the last wicket between Lyon and Boland, which included Boland's unbeaten 15 runs.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah took 5, Mohammed Siraj took 3 and Ravindra Jadeja took 1 wicket.
