New Delhi, 28 December (HS): After paying last respects to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at Nigambodh Ghat on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Dr. Singh's service to the country will always be remembered.

Prime Minister Modi shared some pictures of paying last respects to Dr. Singh at the crematorium on social media platform X and wrote, Paid last tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. His services to India will always be remembered.

It is noteworthy that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was cremated today at Nigambodh Ghat with full state honors and Sikh tradition. Before the last rites, he was given a 21-gun salute and Sikh religious leaders and family members recited Gurbani. Earlier, many dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid last respects to the former Prime Minister at the crematorium.
