Naidu inaugurates ATC and Fire Safety Building at Indore Airport


Indore, 22 December (HS): Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated the newly constructed ATC building and Fire Safety Building at Indore Airport on Sunday. He sat on the ATC seat for some time and talked to the pilot of a plane. He said, I am sitting on the ATC seat for the first time.Union Minister Naidu also inaugurated the new fire station and the garbage plant to make the airport zero waste.On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur and MP Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, MP Shankar Lalwani, MLA Mahendra Hardia, Chintu Verma along with public representatives, airport officials and intellectuals were present.

Civil Aviation Minister Naidu said, This is my visit to Indore. MPs meet most of the times in Delhi and discuss Indore. Indore is number one in the country in cleanliness. I wanted to see it, today I saw the city of cleanliness. He praised Indore a lot during this time. He said that Indore is not only clean, the minds of the people here are also clean. There is a good team in Indore, which is taking the city's development forward.

He said that the airport's capacity will be increased to 55 lakh in four months, soon a new terminal will be built before Simhastha. Its planning has started. Land is required for a bigger runway, for this a letter has been written to the state government. As soon as the land is available, the capacity of the airport's runway will be increased. After this, flights from America will also be able to land in Indore.Naidu said that due to the Udan scheme, the number of flights has increased at all the airports in the country. Earlier there were 74 airports but during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, the number of airports has doubled in ten years. Similarly, there were 400 aircrafts in India, which has increased to 800 aircrafts in ten years. He said that Indore has connectivity of 90 aircrafts, after discussing with the airlines, new connectivity will be started soon. We are also discussing with the airlines to start flights to Singapore and Bangkok. Modi is working for the country, so we all are working with him. It has become clear from the Haryana and Maharashtra elections that the public is also with Modi.
