London, 11 December (H.S.): Queen Elizabeth II had been a prominent figure in global politics for over six decades, serving as the head of state for the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms.
However, despite her international presence, her relationship with Israel has been described as difficult by former Israeli President Reuven Rivlin. This revelation came during a celebration in London marking the centenary of the Technion, where Rivlin shared that the Queen held the belief that every Israeli was either a terrorist or the son of a terrorist.
As a result, she refused to accept any Israeli officials into Buckingham Palace except on international occasions. This strained relationship is evident in the fact that Queen Elizabeth II had never visited Israel during her reign, despite visiting over 120 other countries.
Rivlin's remarks come at a time when Israel is facing criticism for its ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries.
Despite this tension, King Charles III has been described as so friendly towards Israel, potentially indicating a shift in the monarchy's views on the country in the future.
