Mirzapur, 8 November (HS): In Kon police station
area, the police arrested two people for printing fake 500 rupee note after
learning from YouTube. Accused also used to circulate it in the market and police
recovered a printer, laptop and approximately twenty 500 rupee notes from their
possession. Additional Superintendent of Police Kalu Singh said on Friday that
an informer in the Kon police station area informed the police at 10 o'clock
last night that the people doing fake currency business were present in their
car near Ramgarh Indian Bank and they were driving a car without a number
plate. On this information, Kon police station chased the said car and arrested
two people traveling in it. During investigation, the police found a total of
20 notes of Rs 500 on which the same serial number 6AQ 938124 Reserve Bank of
India was written and a printer for printing notes, a laptop and 27 stamps of
Rs 10 were recovered from the trunk of the car.
When the police interrogated the arrested
accused, it was told that both of us used to practice printing advertisements
for mineral water, meanwhile we got the idea of printing fake currency notes
after watching it from YouTube. We first scanned the Rs 500 note and then with
the help of laptop and printer, started printing fake notes on Rs 10 stamp
paper. Since the paper of stamp and note is almost of the same type, we used to
buy a stamp of ten rupees and print fake notes on the same paper with the help
of laptop and printer. Till now we have printed about thirty thousand rupees in
fake notes and circulated them in the market.
Additional SP Shri Singh said that in this case, Pramod Mishra resident
of Ward-04 Churk Bazar, Sonbhadra and Satish Rai resident of Naugraha,
Pachaura, Police Station Kotwali Chunar, District Mirzapur have been
arrested. In relation to the said
recovery and arrest, advance legal action is being taken by registering a case crime
number No. 127/2024 under Section 178, 179, 180, 181 BNS at Kon Police Station.
