New Delhi, 4 November (HS):
Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania is one of the top destinations for tourists from all over the globe . With impressive sky scrappers , great Cosmopolitan culture , the city is thronged by thousands of tourists from across the globe.
One of the top spots in the city of Dar Es Salaam is Masaki and its neighbourhood . A home to multi-national companies, corporate offices, it's one of the best places for Global FMCG brands. Masaki is the home to the distinguished Indian International School where one can find not only students of Indian Origin in large numbers.
Masaki also has a great mix of Intercontinental cuisine. Many successful Indian Origin entrepreneurs have been serving the needs of the customers over here with authentic Indian cuisine.
I moved to Tanzania one and a half decades ago as a IT solution provider for Hospitality industry and made good progress in my business venture.
Now I have made foray into my own brand multi-cuisine restaurant Tamarind Tree on Chole Road. Our menu offers wide range of authentic Indian Cuisine in vegetarian, non vegetarian, South Indian and North Indian delicacies. And we are doing good business catering not only to the needs of Indian diaspora but also to the multi national citizens based in Dar Es Salaam says Shankar , who hails from Bangalore.
One of the most expensive ultra laxurioius residential areas in Tanzania, Masaki is a paradise for high end living. With Bay area facing Laxury villas, living in Masaki is a statement by it self.
The night life in Masaki is very active and alive as it boasts of state of art night clubs .
The slip way bay area is a perfect get away from the busy city life as it offers great escape from the busy city life. One could frequent Slip way with family and friends. Local retail shops offer a wide range of services and ethnic products. Slip way also offers great mix of live music.
One such example is that of Amus, a localite who entertains visitors at Slip way water front zone.
A musician who sings songs of different languages apart from local languages, Amus also has learnt few Hindi Songs .
I love to sing the song Tum Paas aaye , Yu Muskuraaye , Tum ne na jaane from the Bollywood film , Shahruk Khan starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai . I have been singing this track for over few years . And I am able to entertain Indian visitors. I must say that the song is a raging hit not only with Indians but also with most of the foreign tourists here . And most interestingly I do earn a bit singing and entertaining the crowd here . It's nice to be spreading the sweetness of
Indian music in my own way he says.
Thus, Slip way bay area in Dar Es Salaam certainly is a multi racial , Multi disciplinary, multi national tourist spot in every sense .
