London, 4 November (H.S.):

Kemi Badenock will now take over the reins of the Conservative Party in Britain. This is the first time a black woman has led a major party in Britain. 44-year-old Badenock defeated Robert Jenrick by securing 57% of the vote in the party leadership election. This change is being considered historic in British politics. Kemi's leadership is also raising hopes of bringing new changes in the party. Badenock has promised changes in the party after winning the election. He said, Now the time has come to speak the truth.

After the party's defeat in July under the leadership of former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Badenock talked about reviving the Conservative Party in a new way. The party's basic principles are expected to be restored under his leadership. Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak himself has taken responsibility for the defeat in the elections held in July. According to Sunak, the party needs better leadership and a new direction, and Badenock's victory could be the first step towards this change. After Sunak's defeat, Badenock's leadership is being seen as a new beginning. Conservative Party workers are also welcoming this change.

Kemi Badenock was born in Wimbledon, London in 1980. After some time she returned to London to study. At the age of 16, she used to work at McDonald's along with her studies. After this, she graduated in Computer Science from Sussex University. After working in banking, Badenock entered politics and joined the Conservative Party at the age of 25. In 2022 she became the Secretary of International Trade, and now she has become the leader of the party.
