Seven shops burnt to ashes in fire in Mikirbheta
Morigaon (Assam), 30 November (HS): Seven shops have been burnt to ashes in a massive fire in Bagribari Tinali of Mikirbheta police station area of Morigaon district. Eyewitnesses said that the fire broke out at around 1.15 pm on Saturday afternoon.

Morigaon (Assam), 30 November (HS): Seven shops have been burnt to ashes in a massive fire in Bagribari Tinali of Mikirbheta police station area of Morigaon district. Eyewitnesses said that the fire broke out at around 1.15 pm on Saturday afternoon.

There is no information about how the fire started. Seven shops were completely burnt to ashes in the fire. According to shopkeepers, goods worth more than ₹20 lakh were burnt in the fire. Local people tried to extinguish the fire, but at the same time two cylinders exploded in a hotel and the fire intensified, due to which people failed to extinguish the fire.

Later the fire brigade personnel extinguished the fire with great difficulty and saved the remaining shops. Meanwhile, Mikirbheta police reached the spot and started investigation. The affected shopkeepers have appealed to Morigaon District Commissioner Debashish Sharma to help them.
