Prime suspect arrested in vlogger's murder case


Guwahati, 29 November (HS): Bengaluru police have arrested Aarav Hanoi, the main accused in the brutal murder of Assam's professional vlogger Maya Gogoi (26). It is being said that the suspect surrendered voluntarily after being absconding for several days. The arrest came after the suspect himself contacted the police and expressed his desire to surrender.

While, on Friday, the police said that Hanoi was detained during an intensive search operation outside Karnataka. It is worth noting that the death took place in an apartment in the Indira Nagar area of Bengaluru. Investigators recovered the body of Maya Gogoi after receiving a complaint of a foul smell coming from a room in the Royal Livings Apartment Complex.

The initial police investigation suggests that the murder was well-planned. Knives and nylon wire ordered online and other forensic evidence suggest that the suspect acted in a planned manner.

According to the police, the arrested person works as a student councillor at Hanoi Leap Scholar. The victim, who worked in Koramangala, was stabbed to death by her colleague. The police are intensively interrogating the arrested accused.
