Kamrup, 25 November (HS): A person named Satyen Kakti's house has burnt to ashes in a massive fire that broke out in Duggunpar near Kamalpur in Baihata Chariali. Along with the house, cattle, motorcycles etc. were also burnt in this fire. All the items kept in the house along with important documents etc. were also burnt to ashes.

The fire was brought under control with the help of nearby people. Local people allege that the fire brigade vehicles arrived only after the fire was extinguished. It is estimated that property worth ₹5 to 6 lakh has been damaged in the fire.
