Peshawar/New Delhi, 20 November (H.S.):
At least 11 security personnel lost their lives while taking on terrorists in the troubled Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
According to a news published in the Dawn newspaper quoting sources, about 11 soldiers were killed in a suicide attack near Mali Khel post in Janikhel area of Bannu on Tuesday, while the condition of two soldiers is said to be critical. The bodies of the injured and soldiers were removed after additional security forces reached the spot.
At the end of last month, three security personnel including an army major were killed in a shootout in the Bakka Khel area of the same district. At least eight security personnel were killed in a fierce shootout with terrorists over the weekend in Tirah Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
