Imphal, 18 November (HS): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has expressed concern over the ongoing violence in Manipur and has demanded a solution from the government.
The statement of the Sangh said that it is unfortunate that the violence going on in Manipur since May 3 last year has not stopped yet.
The statement said that innocent people have suffered a lot due to violence. The Sangh condemns the inhuman, cruel and ruthless acts of killing women and children by taking them hostage. The Manipur unit of the Sangh said that this act is cowardly and against the principles of humanity and co-existence. The central and state government should resolve the ongoing conflict honestly as soon as possible.
It is noteworthy that violent activities have suddenly increased in the recent days. During a recent encounter with security forces in Jiribam district, militants kidnapped eight women and children. All were killed mercilessly. Due to this there is anger among the people.
