Guwahati, 17 November (HS): On November 16 and 17, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Assam State Executive Meeting was held at the Lanka College in Hojai District. The meeting was held under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Assam State.
The poster of the inter-college (under-20) football tournament to be held in January was also launched at the function.
The meeting was attended by North East Regional Organization Secretary Kamal Nayan, State President of Assam State Dr. Ritamani Vaish, State Secretary Harold Mohan, State Organization Secretary Anup Kumar and others.
State Secretary Harold Mohan said that the council has decided to start border visits to discuss various physical issues of Assam and to study the problems being faced in the border areas of Assam. Also, for a healthy academic environment in Assam, there is a lack of coordination among the state universities across Assam.
The State Executive Committee unanimously passed a resolution to prepare a uniform academic calendar in protest against the existing academic calendar.
