Bhubaneswar, 22 October (H.S.): The Odisha government has ensured that there is sufficient stock of food supplies available, and there is no need for the public to panic, stated State Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra. He reassured the citizens that the government is fully prepared to handle any situation arising from the impending cyclone.

The minister urged people to remain calm and avoid unnecessary panic buying. He also informed that necessary instructions have been issued to officials, and strict directives have been given to prevent hoarding by stockists. Patra emphasized that collective cooperation is essential in tackling the challenges posed by the cyclone.

He further warned that anyone attempting to take advantage of the situation or create difficulties for others would face strict legal action. Inspections were carried out yesterday, and further raids have been conducted today in some areas to ensure compliance. The minister made it clear that no one would be allowed to exploit the situation for personal gain.
