New Delhi, 21 October (HS): Arvind Kejriwal did not get relief from Supreme Court in defamation case due to controversial comment on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degree. Supreme Court has refused to stay the proceedings of defamation case going on against Kejriwal in lower court of Ahmedabad. Court has rejected Kejriwal's plea.

Gujarat University Registrar Piyush Patel has filed a defamation case in lower court against the comments of Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh. Lower court had issued summons to him. Earlier, Sanjay Singh had also approached Supreme Court for relief in this case but Supreme Court rejected his plea in April.
