New Delhi, 02 October (HS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal invited American businessmen to be a part of India's development journey, promote strong bilateral relations and advance global progress. The Commerce Minister, who arrived in the US on a four-day official tour, attended several important events to strengthen strong trade and investment relations between India and the US.

The Commerce Minister said in the information given on the 'X' post on Wednesday that he met top officials of major global firms to discuss possible cooperation in various fields in several different meetings including the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). He said that it was great to meet Newsweek Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and owner Dev Pragad.

Goyal further wrote that it was a matter of pride to see a young entrepreneur of Indian origin making a big impact and positive contribution in the influential world of media. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal is on an official visit to the US till October 3 at the invitation of United States Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. During this time he will co-chair the sixth India-US Commercial Dialogue organized in Washington DC.
