Flight resumes at Rupsi Airport

Kokrajhar (Assam), 17 October (HS): Flight service resumed at Rupsi Airport in Kokrajhar from Thursday after a gap of one year. There was a bustling atmosphere at the airport this morning.

The plane took off from Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and landed at Rupsi Airport at 8.20 am.

It is worth mentioning that Rupsi Airport, established during the Second World War during the British rule, was closed since 1984. Flybig used to provide flights from Rupsi to Guwahati and Kolkata, but the flights were completely suspended for the last one year.

The flight service will operate three days a week from today. Assam government minister UG Brahma reached the airport in the morning and inspected the flight service.
