Wardha, 24 July (HS) :Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV), Wardha, is successfully implementing National Education Policy (NEP)-2020, initiated by the Government of India by organising various programmes. As a part of it, the University is handling various activities like Academic Bank Credit, Multiple Entry – Multiple Exit, Interdisciplinary Research Programme, National Academic Depository, Credit transfer through programmes under ‘Swayam’, Research programmes in Indian languages, organizing on-line and off-line programme under NEP, book publications, Dr Ambedkar Utkrushtata Kendra, participating in CUET etc for the successful implementation of National Education Policy-2020. MGAHV is in front to implement NEP among other educational institutions, informed Prof Rajaneesh Kumar Shukla, Vice-Chancellor of MGAHV, Wardha in a press conference on Monday. Prof Hanumanprasad Shukla and Prof Chandrakant Ragit, both Pro Vice-Chancellors, Sandhya Nimje, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shashin Rai, Deputy Director of Press Information Bureau, Nagpur, Dhananjay Wankhede, Media Communication Officer, Hansraj Raut, Regional Publicity Officer, Central Bureau of Communications, Wardha and B S Mirge, Public Relations Officer, MGAHV, Wardha, were present on the occasion.

Prof Shukla further mentioned that the third year of NEP-2020 is going on this year. In these three years many national level symposiums, workshops and other activities on various significant topics have been organized by MGAHV with the collaboration of renowned and higher education societies.

In NEP-2020, Credit transfer plays an important role and MGAHV is implementing this by giving priorities to students’ rights. Many MoUs are also signed with other Central Universities in this regard. Total 4,781 students are benefitted with National Academic Depository and hence students are taking print-out of their documents which are uploaded on Digi Locker portal. Total 280 lectures are being uploaded on EPG Pathshaa Portal, added the Vice-Chancellor.

Under Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, skill- based programmes like Handloom technology and Environment awareness and education to make students self-reliants.

While implementing NEP, MGAHV has started four year Graduation programme from the academic session 2021-22 itself. Two books based on NEP had been published so far, he pointed out.

MGAHV has adopted CUET from the academic year 2022-23 for the admission process of various courses. Total 38 Graduate programmes are conducted in MGAHV. Nearly 41,000 students have been registered through CUET so far. MGAHV is following all the norms of NEP -2020, informed Prof Shukla. Dr Surya Prakash Pandey, Proctor, Dr Rajeshwar Singh, Assistant Registrar, Dr Amit Vishwas, Assistant Editor and media persons from both electronics and print were present on the occasion.
