Yogi's house will have better security mechanism in place


Lucknow, June 8 (HS): Following recent threats, the security of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's official house on Kalidas Marg is being improved. The security of entire Kalidas Marg section will be improved and outfitted with cutting-edge security and checkpoint gadgets amounting to Rs 25.15 crore. This process will include enhanced security at the Rajiv Chowk roundabout near the chief minister's residence, at the Kalidas Marg entry, exit and check point, and from the La Martiniere College roundabout to the Kalidas Marg entry and exit points, as well as access to the helipad near the residence.

The security enhancement at the chief minister's residence has been recommended by the security consultancy report of the Central Industrial Security Force that guards Yogi Adityanath, a senior government official said. The security assessment is conducted on a monthly basis, and this security augmentation was requested following several threats against the chief minister from unidentified sources in recent months. He stated that the government has issued an order authorising the release of Rs 2,15,68,500 for the acquisition of modern gadgets, peripheral devices, and installation by the home department.

According to the government order, the list of gadgets includes one 3D under vehicle surveillance system (UVSS) for complete scanning of the underside of any moving vehicle entering the restricted area, two units of boom barriers used to block vehicular or pedestrian access through a controlled point, two units of tyre killers used to prevent unauthorised vehicles at entry/exit points, two units of shallow road blocker, and five units fixed bollards at the Rajiv Chowk entrance to the Kala Academy. The list also includes three boom barriers, three shallow road blockers, one barrier lift device for blocking side roads between the chief minister's home and Janta Darbar, and two permanent bollards at the CM residence's side door.

Similarly, there is one 3D vehicle surveillance system, three boom barriers, two tyre killers, three shallow road blockers, and five fixed bollards for blocking the space at the La Martiniere College roundabout to entry and exit points of the Kalidas Marg, as well as entry at a nearby helipad. The plan to upgrade the security of Gorakhpur's Gorakhnath Math and temple premises, which house Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's home, has already been approved, with the latest security gadgets costing Rs 24.58 crore.

An anti-drone system, a high-quality drone, bulletproof Morcha coated on three sides, non-lethal teaser weapons, wedge barriers, a bollard system, night vision devices, integrated command and control system devices, and many more items are included in the list. At the temple, an integrated command and control system gadget will be placed. The temple's enhanced security system will also include a wedge barrier and a boom barrier. The security officers will be outfitted with bulletproof jackets, of which 24 units will be acquired, as well as seven binoculars and 42 torches.
