PM views inauguration of new Parliament building as coronation: RaGa

New Delhi, 28 May (HS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated on Sunday that Parliament is the people's voice, but the prime minister is treating the new building's opening like a coronation. Rahul Gandhi reaction came just after Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the new parliament building. Parliament is the people's voice! The prime minister considers the inauguration of the Parliament House to be a coronation, Gandhi said in a Hindi tweet. At the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new parliament building, then Hon'ble President Ramnath Kovind was kept away from the ceremony, Congress national secretary K C Venugopal tweeted. “President Droupadi Murmu was not present for the inauguration. It is the RSS's upper caste, anti-backward mindset that denies them the respect that their high constitutional office deserves. Their purposeful absence demonstrates that PM Modi will exploit them as political pawns but will not allow them to participate in such momentous and historic milestones, Venugopal added.

After attending the opening of the new Parliament building, BJP MP from Aurangabad Sushil Kumar Singh said that he (Gandhi) was jealous of Modi in response to Gandhi's coronation statement. Rahul Gandhi is unable to accept that the people of India have given Modi ji a mandate for two terms. So he makes such a remark, he explained. Singh, a four-time MP, stated on the sengol controversy, The Congress party does not even remember its past. The party refuses to investigate the reports reported in daily media at the time. So, I'll propose that Congress should reflect on its history and look at those news items.
