Kolkata, 23 March (HS): Amidst criticism over West Bengal recruitment scam, the TMC on Thursday accused the CPM of job scam. The Trinmool Congress asked how Milli Chakraborty, wife of the veteran CPI (M) leader Sujan Chakraborty got a job without facing any examination during the CPI (M) regime.

On Thursday, the official Twitter handle of the TMC wrote, ''JOB SCAM exposed! Mili Chakraborty, wife of former CPI (M) MLA @Sujan_Speak, never cleared any exam but worked at Dinabandhu Andrews College for 34 yrs, retired in 2021 with basic pay of ₹55,000 & enjoys pension.'' The tweet attached a letter signed by Milli Chakraborty addressed to the principal of the college where she confirmed her joining.

Reacting on the allegations of the Trinmool Congress, CPIM Central Committee member Sujan Chakraborty said, ''I don't understand what they meant by this letter, my wife used to work, gets pension within the rules. That is the joining letter, not recommendation letter.''

''The homework of the Trinamool Congress has become less,'' he added.
