Ahmedabad, 23 March (HS): The first FIR has been lodged in Gujarat against fake PMO officer Kiran Patel, who was caught from Jammu and Kashmir. After Kiran's arrest, more cases against him have come to the fore.

Ahmedabad Crime Branch revealed that he has been occupying a rented house here for five years. The investigation has been started by registering an FIR in this regard.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Chaitanya Mandlik said that Kiran Patel is currently in judicial custody in Srinagar. The first FIR was lodged in Gujarat against Kiran Patel after his capture from Kashmir. The investigation has been started by registering a complaint against him in the crime branch of Ahmedabad for cheating, treachery and usurping government property. Now Kiran Patel will be arrested with a transfer warrant.

According to a Crime Branch official, Prestige Bungalow No. 17 in Ghodasar, Ahmedabad belongs to Vanaram Chaudhary of Rajasthan. It was rented by Kiran Patel 5 years back for ₹12,000 per month. Later, Kiran stopped paying the rent to the landlord. He used intimidate by calling himself an officer of the PMO. A complaint has been made in this regard at the Vatva police station.
