Lucknow,

08 Sept (HS): On International Literacy Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath emphasized the importance of extending education beyond reading and

writing to include digital and AI literacy. He argued that education should not

only teach students how to read and write, but also instill values, discipline,

confidence, and direction. He emphasized that, in addition to basic literacy,

digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy are needed owing to the rapid

evolution of current technology. He urged residents to assist anyone around

them who lacked basic reading, emphasizing that tiny educational efforts offer

up new opportunities.

He asked everyone to work together to guarantee that

every child attends school, has a good education, learns skills, and becomes

aware of artificial intelligence. He cited Operation Kayakalp, Mission Prerna,

and the Mukhyamadri Abhyudaya Yojana for lowering dropout rates and increasing

educational infrastructure.

“Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the residents

of the state on 'World Literacy Day'. Literacy is not limited merely to the

knowledge of letters, but it also opens the doors to empowerment, a life of

dignity, and new opportunities. Let us all resolve to take the light of

education to the last person in society,” he mentioned via a post on X.
