Actor Rajesh Sharma recently made headlines after reports emerged that he had been hospitalised following an insect bite. In July, director Sudeepa Chatterjee claimed on social media that Rajesh had been bitten by a poisonous insect on the sets of the Prabhas-starrer ‘Fauji’. However, she later deleted the post. Rajesh Sharma has now personally clarified the matter, saying that the reports were incorrect.

In a recent interaction, Rajesh made it clear that no such incident involving an insect bite had taken place with him on the sets of ‘Fauji’. He explained that he had been suffering from a longstanding skin condition on his right leg, which later developed into an infection. He said neither Prabhas nor his team was in any way responsible for the issue. He further clarified that no such incident occurred while he was shooting for the film in Hyderabad either. He spoke highly of Prabhas and his team.

Rajesh also responded to Sudeepa Chatterjee’s social media post. He said Sudeepa is a close friend and had shared the post out of concern for him, but she had received incorrect information. According to the actor, his condition worsened after he returned to Kolkata, and the infection became serious after his diabetes levels increased. However, he said his health is now improving and that he may return to shooting soon.

It may be recalled that ‘Fauji’, starring Prabhas, is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 3, 2026.
