- One Nation, One Voice: Massive Collective Singing to Celebrate National Unity

Guwahati, 08 September (HS): The Northeast region is set to witness a large-scale expression of national unity and patriotic spirit on September 25, as millions of people are expected to participate in the ‘Namami Bharatam’ programme and collectively sing ‘Vande Mataram’.

As part of the preparations, a special programme was organised at Asom Prakashan Bharati in Guwahati, where the Assamese translation of the book Vande Mataram, authored by Avanish Bhatnagar, was released.

The Assamese edition was jointly released by Lieutenant General (Retd.) Rana Pratap Kalita, Chancellor of Pragjyotishpur University; Prof. Raghavendra Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor; KN Raghunandan, Organising Secretary, Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan; Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Minister, Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra; Dr. Jagadindra Rai Choudhury, Kshetra Mantri; and Dr. Debabrata Khanikar, Registrar, Pragjyotishpur University.

The ‘Namami Bharatam’ initiative aims to strengthen national unity, patriotism and cultural consciousness among people across the Northeast. The collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ is intended to bring together people from diverse communities through a shared sense of national pride.

On September 25, collective singing programmes will be organised at various locations across the Northeast, with participation expected from different sections of society, particularly students and youth.

Mukuteswar Goswami, Prachar Sanyojak of Shishu Shiksha Samiti Assam, said the initiative is envisioned as a collective expression of respect for the motherland and an effort to inspire the younger generation towards national unity, cultural pride and social responsibility.------------
